Short-Handed Sailing: YachtCodex lists 125 models, 9.0–14.5 m long. The builders with the most are Hallberg-Rassy (31), Elan (8), and Faurby Yachts (8). The largest in production is the Hallberg-Rassy 44 Mk II (14.5 m); the shallowest draft is the Dragonfly 28's (0.40 m).

Sailing yachts a couple or a singlehander can manage without a crew. The criteria are a length overall between 9 and 14.5 metres -- the familiar advice that two people can handle up to about 45 feet -- and an upwind sail area of 110 square metres or less, or, where no upwind area is published, a mainsail of 60 square metres or less; racers are excluded.
