Sailing Trimarans · Coastal Cruising: YachtCodex lists 2 models, 7.7–9.0 m long. The builder with the most is Dragonfly Trimarans (2).

Sailing Trimarans

A main hull with a float either side: most of the weight in the middle, most of the stability at the ends of the beams. A trimaran carries its accommodation in one hull rather than two, which puts the living space on one level and keeps the crew together, and it is generally the quickest of the three forms for a given length. It is also the rarest in production, which is why this is the shortest list on the site.

Coastal Cruising

Boats certified and sized for the coast: CE Category B or C, up to 16 metres for a sailing yacht and up to 24 metres for a motor yacht, racers excluded. Above 24 metres a boat is a crewed yacht under the Large Yacht Code rather than something a family takes out, which is where this list stops. A motor boat that publishes no CE class still counts when its type is a day type -- sport cruiser, day boat, bowrider, centre console, RIB, jet boat, pontoon -- and it is 16 metres or under, because those types are built for the coast by definition.
