What the builder publishes about how fast, how strong and how much the boat carries.
Total engine power per tonne of published displacement — more means livelier acceleration for the hull. Drawn for motor yachts.

Fuel and water on one scale: a tank twice the height holds twice as much.

Design limits set by the EU Recreational Craft Directive (2013/53/EU), in significant wave height. A category covers the conditions of those below it. It is the limit the boat was designed to, not a promise that it is safe in any conditions within it — that judgement stays with the skipper.

Luca Bassani's avant-garde marque, founded in 1994 and a Ferretti Group brand — seventeen fleet models from the 12-metre wallynano 37 to the 45.7-metre wallywind 150, spanning the wallytender and wallypower motor boats, the wallywhy yachts, the wallyrocket racers and the wallywind fast-cruising sloops, all in carbon and all built on the rule that there are no rules.
In 1991 the yachtsman Luca Bassani built a family yacht with the performance of a maxi, Wallygator -- carbon construction, a self-tacking jib, swept-back spreaders without running backstays, flush decks, a forward owner's cabin, and what the yard's timeline calls the first carbon mast in the world after the 1992 New Zealand America's Cup boat -- and in 1994 he founded Wally, launching the ketch Nariida, the first all-carbon yacht. Genie of the Lamp of 1995, a 24-metre sloop one person could handle, introduced push-button sail handling and the open deck; Tiketitan of 1998 pioneered the 'Terrace-on-the-sea' beach club and the first canting keel on a big cruiser, Wally B rethought interiors, and the Wally Class of 1999 grew into the largest fleet of racing superyachts. Wally entered power boats with the wallytender in 2001 and the wallypower118 of 2003, with its vertical bow and glass superstructure, which was shown at San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art in 2004, the year Tiketitoo won the Compasso d'Oro; Ryokan 2 won it again in 2008, and wallyace of 2012 moved the brand into displacement motor yachts. In 2019 Wally became a brand of the Ferretti Group, which relaunched the wallytender with the 48, opened the Casa Wally shipyard in Forlì in 2021 for the tender and power lines alongside the wallywhy200, and launched the wallypower58 in 2022.
