Brand Overview

The superyacht and flybridge brand of Gulf Craft in the United Arab Emirates — nine yachts from the 18.4-metre Majesty 60 to the 55-metre Majesty 175, built at the group's Umm Al Quwain yard, which the builder says it fits out for each owner.

What this builder is

Majesty Yachts is one of four brands of Gulf Craft, the Umm Al Quwain builder that says it has more than 40 years of yacht-building experience in the Gulf; its chairman Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, a former UAE diplomat, started the business, and Erwin Bamps, who first joined in 2002 and led it from 2009 to 2019, returned as CEO in 2025. The group sells Majesty alongside Nomad (long-range explorers), Oryx (sports yachts) and SilverCat (power catamarans), each from its own site. Gulf Craft's largest yard, at Umm Al Quwain (462,000 sq ft), builds vessels from 32 to 175 feet; an Ajman yard takes mid-range yachts up to 40 metres, and service centres in Ajman and the Maldives look after the fleet. The current Majesty fleet runs from the Majesty 60, 65 and 72 flybridges to the 100 Terrace, 112, 120, 145, 160 and 175 superyachts; the larger ones carry interiors by Cristiano Gatto, with naval architecture by Van Oossanen on the 160 and Yankee Delta Studio on the 175. The yard says it engineers, designs and builds most components and cabinetry in-house and builds every Majesty around its owner's wishes.

Who sails them

Majesty buyers are owners in the Gulf, Asia and increasingly Europe and the US who want a full-displacement or semi-displacement superyacht, or a large flybridge, with generous volume for the length and a builder that customises the layout — often with charter in mind, as the yard pitches the 72 for private use and charter alike.

Signature models

The Majesty 120, which the yard calls its best-selling superyacht and which won the International Yacht & Aviation Award for motor yachts of 25 to 40 metres, defines the brand; the 100 Terrace is described as one of its most celebrated models, and the 55-metre, 780 GT Majesty 175 with an owner's deck pool is the flagship.

Strengths

The yard points to more than four decades of building in the Gulf, a large in-house yard that makes its own components and joinery, interiors by Cristiano Gatto on the superyachts, a lightweight composite hull with a shallow draft on the 120, beach clubs, terraces and pools on yachts of 30 to 55 metres, and an own service network in Ajman and the Maldives.

Considerations

The model pages print one table — length, beam, draft, cabins, displacement 'approx.', tanks, generators and power — with no speeds, range, heads or CE category; several power rows give no horsepower (100 Terrace, 120) or no engines at all (112), and the 60 prints a single 966 hp without saying how many engines; the 65's table lists 8 guest cabins where its text says 8 guests, so its cabins are left blank; and the 175's text gives a 2.05 m draft against 2.11 m in the table.

History

Majesty is built by Gulf Craft, which says it has more than 40 years of yacht-building experience in the Gulf. Its chairman, Mohammed Hussein Alshaali -- described as a former UAE diplomat -- started the business more than 40 years ago and still has his hand on the helm, with members of his family now working in the company; his daughter Abeer Alshaali is deputy managing director. Erwin Bamps first joined in 2002 and, the group says, helped turn a UAE-based family business into a global yacht and boat builder; he was chief executive from 2009 to 2019, oversaw growth in the workforce, global presence and range across leisure craft and superyachts, and returned as chief executive in 2025. The group describes its aim as building yachts of absolute integrity and value, owned by a family of customers it calls friends for life.
