Semi-custom
Fort Lauderdale builder of semi-custom long-range motoryachts whose first Classic was launched in 2000 — 24 models from the 17.2-metre 540 Adventure to the 27.4-metre 27 YXT in the Classic, Trident, Adventure and ASV series, built in Taiwan and, since the 2024 merger with Lynx Yachts, the Netherlands.
Outer Reef Yachts marked in 2025 the 25th anniversary of the launch of its first Classic Motoryacht, describing what began as a vision that grew into a global community of owners and adventurers, under its President and CEO Jeff Druek. The company says all its Classic yachts are built to ocean Category A, 'unrestricted navigation' standards at an ISO 9001-certified shipyard run as an experienced, generational family business, in hand-laid fibreglass with vacuum-bag infusion, and that computer-aided design lets it build every model from only a few major moulds. In September 2024 Outer Reef announced a strategic merger in the Netherlands with Lynx Yachts, and its first steel-hulled explorer, the 24-metre 780 Adventure, was built at the company's Dutch facility and launched in 2025, opening the Adventure Series alongside the Classic and Trident lines.
