About Absolute Yachts

Premium production

Italian builder of motor yachts, founded in 2002 and based at its integrated shipyard in Podenzano.

The roots go back to 1967, when Angelo Gobbi founded Cantieri Nautici Gobbi and became one of the Italian pioneers of fibreglass and industrialised boat production. Absolute itself was born in 2002, when Sergio Maggi and Marcello Bè brought design, engineering and production together in a new, integrated approach to yacht building; the first yachts, the Absolute 25 and 45, debuted in 2003. Angelo Gobbi joined the company in 2006 as a larger shipyard was prepared, and the new yard opened in 2008 as the global crisis reshaped the industry -- Absolute kept investing and developed the Fly range. The first Navetta of 2014 introduced a new way of cruising, Absolute of Americas established a direct presence in North America in 2017, the Coupé range of 2021 brought a more dynamic design language, and in 2024 a new expansion increased capacity while keeping every stage of production integrated at Podenzano.
