Design limits set by the EU Recreational Craft Directive (2013/53/EU), in significant wave height. A category covers the conditions of those below it. It is the limit the boat was designed to, not a promise that it is safe in any conditions within it — that judgement stays with the skipper.

Premium production
Norwegian builder of high-performance RIBs from Son on the Oslofjord — stepped-hull Tender, Sport, Ocean, Bullet and Open models from 7.8 to 15.3 metres and the semi-professional X10 and X12, all designed by founder Pål Sollie.
Goldfish Boat's history page starts with its designer, Pål Sollie. From 1987 to 1992 he had major success in offshore racing with his own custom-built catamaran, and, coming from the construction business with a strong passion for architecture and engineering, he set out to bring the performance of racing into a leisure boat. The page lays the models out on a timeline running from 1992 to 2021: the Goldfish Sportboats 16, 21 and 30, the Goldfish 32 Sportcruiser, the 25, 28 and 29 RIB Tenders, the 30 Sport Cruiser and the 36 P1 SuperSport, then the 23 and 28 Tender and the Goldfish 50 Ocean.
