What this builder is
Fiart's history page says the yard grew from Ruggiero Di Luggo's wish to turn his passion for the sea into a way of life, and that it has specialised from the start in motor boats set apart by their detailing and use of space. Its timeline opens with the Conchita of 1960, a small 'plastic shell' that the yard says revolutionised boatbuilding, followed by the Super Conchita (1964), the Sea Star (1969), the best-selling Venus 25 (1975), the Helios 45 that took Fiart to the United Arab Emirates (1976), the Arrow built with BMW (1980) and the Valiant offshore boat, Best Hull at the 1983 Offshore World Championship. The Fiart 35 of 1987 introduced the Genius range; more than 100 Fiart 40s were built from 1998; the founder was named Cavaliere del Lavoro in 2001; the 50th anniversary in 2011 brought the Epica 58 and the first walkaround, the Fiart 33 Seawalker; the Fiart 52 followed in 2016, the Cetera 60' in 2019 and the Seawalker 43 in 2020. The company is Fiart Mare S.p.A. of Via Lucullo 71, Baia. Today's range is the Seawalker 35, 39 and 43 walkarounds with Panorama hardtop versions of the 39 and 43, the P52 and P58 designed with Stefano Pastrovich, and the SX5 and SX4 cruisers conceived by Massimo Simeone; the yard says all its boats are made by resin infusion, and offers bespoke builds, an after-sales Care programme and Fiart Rent. Each page ends in a short data sheet: length overall, beam, often draft and displacement, tanks, guests, berths or cabins, speed, engines and CE category.
Who sails them
Fiart owners are mostly Mediterranean couples and families who want a walkaround or open cruiser for day trips and short cruises, value outdoor living space — big sun pads, a bathing platform, an outdoor galley — and like being able to choose outboard, sterndrive or Volvo IPS power from a long-established Italian family yard.
Signature models
The Seawalker walkaround — first the Fiart 33 Seawalker of 2011, now the 35, 39 and 43 with their Panorama hardtop versions — is today's signature; in the yard's own history the 1960 Conchita and the Genius series, with more than 100 Fiart 40s built, stand out.
Strengths
Fiart is known for space optimisation on compact hulls, which its history says has set it apart since the 1960s, walkaround layouts with large sun pads and generous cabin headroom (the Seawalker 43's aft guest cabin has 1.80 m), resin-infused construction, a wide choice of engines from outboards to Volvo IPS, design collaborations with Stefano Pastrovich and Massimo Simeone, and more than sixty years of boatbuilding near Naples.
Considerations
The data sheets are short: no hull or waterline length, draft only on some boats, displacement without a load basis, speeds often as a range across the engine options, and no horsepower for the IPS-powered SX, P52 and P58; the P52 and P58 print 'Berths 2' for boats with two or three cabins, so berths are not entered there; the Panorama versions print no engines or displacement; and the site gives no founding year.

History
Fiart says it began with a spark in the mind of Ruggiero Di Luggo — turning his passion for the sea into a way of life — and that from the very beginning it has specialised in motor boats set apart by their detailing and their use of space. Its timeline starts with the Conchita of 1960, a small 'plastic shell' that the yard says revolutionised boatbuilding, and the larger Super Conchita of 1964. By 1968, at the 7th Genoa boat show, Fiart was the only yard to have attended every edition. The Sea Star of 1969, the Miseno of 1970 and the Dafne L of 1971 followed, tested, the page says, by the Di Luggo family — Giancarlo, Fabrizio, Antonella and Maria Elodia. The Venus 25 of 1975 was a best seller, the Helios 45 of 1976 took Fiart to the United Arab Emirates, the Arrow of 1980 was built with BMW, and the Valiant of 1982 won the Best Hull award at the 1983 Offshore World Championship. The Fiart 35 of 1987 introduced the Genius line, the Fiart 27 of 1991 led to the 27' and 28' Cabin lines, and the Fiart 40 of 1998, with more than 100 built, opened the French market. In 2001 the founder was named Cavaliere del Lavoro by President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. The Genius 38 and 4seven won Nautical Marketing prizes in 2006 and 2009, and the Fiart 44 Genius followed in 2009. For its 50th anniversary in 2011 Fiart launched the Epica 58 and the first walkaround, the Fiart 33 Seawalker; the Fiart 52 came in 2016, the Cetera 60', its first 'multispace yacht', in 2019, and the Fiart 43 Seawalker, ancestor of today's range, in 2020.
