What this builder is
Axopar says its story began when the first Axopar 28 launched in 2014: its distinctive design, versatile modular layout and driver-focused performance stood apart from anything else on the market and sparked a new segment, adventure boating. Born global from the start, the Helsinki company — operative headquarters at Salmisaarenaukio 1, founding partner Jan-Erik Viitala, production at Axopar Poland — has delivered more than 7,500 boats in just over a decade. Every hull runs on the twin-stepped 22-degree sharp-entry V that gives a soft, dry, fast ride on outboards from 200 to 3 × 350 hp, and each is offered in several tops: the 22 Spyder and T-Top, the 25 Cross Bow and Cross Top, the 29 CCX, Sun Top and XC Cross Cabin, the 37 Spyder, Sun Top and XC, the 38 Cross Top, Sun Top and XC, and the 45 Cross Top, Sun Top and XC, with BRABUS Performance Line and Mediterrana editions above them and the AX/E 22 and 25 electric boats alongside. Every variant page prints a Technical Specifications block — overall length and weight excluding engines, beam, draft to props, outboard engine range, max speed, fuel capacity and cruise consumption, design category, passengers, berths, construction and hull design — and a standard and optional equipment list.
Who sails them
Axopar owners are active boaters from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean and the Americas — families, watersports enthusiasts and superyacht owners buying a chase boat — who want a fast, economical, safe outboard boat with a modular deck they can configure, a cabin version for weekends, and a brand community with dealers, an owners' app and adventure stories to join.
Signature models
The Axopar 37 in its Sun Top and XC Cross Cabin forms is the brand's best-known boat; the 28 of 2014 (now the 29) founded the segment, the 45 XC Cross Cabin is the flagship, the 25 and 22 bring the twin-stepped hull down to trailerable sizes, and the BRABUS Performance Line editions are the halo.
Strengths
Axopar is known for its twin-stepped 22-degree sharp-entry hull, modular aft-deck layouts that swap between sofas, wet bars, sunbeds and aft cabins, driver-focused helm positions, Mercury outboard power up to 3 × 350 hp, low fuel consumption per nautical mile, CE category B ratings on the 29 and above, and rapid growth to more than 7,500 boats.
Considerations
Figures are per variant page and the labels shuffle order from page to page; overall length and weight exclude the outboard engines; the 22s print their engine range without a horsepower unit; the 38 XC page prints its fuel-consumption line under a second 'Fuel capacity' label; berths such as '2 persons (with optional aft cabin 2+2)' are stored as the standard two with the option noted; cruising speed is taken from the fuel-consumption line where one is quoted; the AX/E 22 and 25 electric pages carry no specification block and were not entered; and the 38 Cross Top page offers a single photograph.

History
The first Axopar 28 launched in 2014, and its modular layout, distinctive lines and driver-focused performance stood apart from what the market then offered -- enough, the yard argues, to open a segment of its own: adventure boating. Axopar was built for export from the start and grew into one of Europe's fastest-growing boat brands. In 2017 it joined forces with BRABUS GmbH to create BRABUS Marine, extending the same platforms in a more expressive, performance-led direction. In the United States, now its largest single market, the Axopar 37 was the best-selling outboard-powered boat in the 35-40 foot class in 2024, ahead of both runabouts and saltwater fishing boats. More than 7,500 boats have been delivered in little over a decade; the company reports turnover above €190 million, around 1,200 employees and a debt-free balance sheet, and sells through more than 100 dealers in over 50 countries. The acquisition of Markos, one of Europe's larger composite manufacturers, brought more of production under its own control.
